NEW-IN MUSIC

I love Spotify: I'm listening to music most of the time, and I love discovering new groups or singers. It can sometimes be very frustating because you keep on finding music that doesn't really click for you. But when I find music I really enjoy, it stays with me. So, these are the groups that I've found out lately and that I can't stop listening to!

1. Odesza

La primera vez que les escuché fue en el Snapchat de Andy Torres (@stylescrapbook). El ritmo y la base son cosas que normalmente busco en la música, y en Odesza es absorbente. "Añadiendo un ritmo más fuerte/pesado pero conservando el encanto de la electrónica indie", dice Spotify, ¡y creo que lo describe perfectamente!

Fun fact, I first listened to their songs when Andy Torres (@stylescrapbook) mentioned them in her Snapchat Story. The rhythm and the bass are two things I usually look for and notice, and Odesza's are just absorbing. "Adding a heavier beat but keeping the dreamy side of indie electronica intact", describes Spotify. I think that is pretty accurate.

2. Billie Black

Con un ritmo relajado RnB, su música es muy original. La base suele mezclar sonidos electrónicos e instrumentales. Por una parte, es una música de relax pero por otra, algunas canciones tienen un ritmo muy animado. Es música muy alternativa pero me encanta!

In a more relaxed RnB kind of vibe, her music is very unique. The bass usually mixes electronic and instrumental sounds. On the one hand, it is chilled but on the other one, some songs have a rhythm you could perfectly dance to. Very alternative music that I really enjoy.

3. Matt Simons

Su estilo no es tan innovador como el de Billie Black pero la verdad es que no se les puede comparar. Descubrí a Matt Simons después del éxito de Catch & Release, pero me gustan más otras canciones como Miss You More o With You. Es la música perfecta para una tarde de domingo: te hace sentir feliz pero también nostálgico al mismo tiempo. Y además Matt Simons escribe sus propias canciones!

His style is definitely not as innovative as Billie Black's but the truth is you can't compare them. I found out about him after the success of Catch & Release, his greatest hit. However, I like better other tracks like Miss You More or With You. It's the perfect music for a Sunday evening I reckon: it makes you feel happy and nostalgic at the same time. And a plus: Matt Simons writes his own songs!

4. The Internet

Estaba dudando si incluir este grupo porque les he descubierto hace muy poco, pero como las canciones que conozco me encantan, ¡aquí están! Su música es como electrónica suave con tintes de jazz. Al igual que con Billie Black, les escuché cuando vi un vídeo de favoritos de Tasha Green en YouTube. Las redes sociales son geniales para descubrir nueva música o en realidad cualquier cosa que te guste!

I was doubting whether to include this group or not because I've just found them out. But the songs I know from them I really like so here they are. Their's is like an electronic chilled jazzy music. As well as with Billie Black, I discovered them after watching a favourites video from Tasha Green on YouTube. Social media is always great to discover new things you might enjoy!
